Milk Cartons in Baskets

Dear Cleveland Hill Families and Friends,

Recently, school districts across New York State received notice that Upstate Farms, our Milk provider, is having a nationwide shortage of 1/2 pint containers.  Schools will be impacted severely and we wanted to let our families know that we are prepared for this situation as it occurs.  New York State has issued a waiver that allows schools to shift from the current milk delivery system of 1/2 pint size containers to pouring milk from a half gallon container into cups with a lid.  This option will ensure that our children's nutritional needs will be met while limiting the impact to our operations as best as possible.

Grades 6-12:

1% milk (chilled on ice) will be available in bulk for students to pour into cups in the cafeteria.

Grades UPK-5:

1% milk will be pre-poured into cups with a lid and served to our students from the serving lines.

Thank you for all your support and patience as we work through this nationwide problem.
